Analysis Paralysis

Study Confirms Analysis Paralysis in Golfers . "Verbal overshadowing" is counter productive.

Golfers should try to think in pictures if they are thinking of a move and "feel" the shot when playing.

When practicing you can think all you want --- just don't judge the time by the result of your shots. Judge your time by how well you are making the particular move you are working on.

Use the verbal part of learning to understand the concept behind what you are trying to accomplish. This is where the instructor - student relationship can really work.
